In partnership with San Carlos Week of the Family 2023, Each Green Corner hosted a Backyard Fruit Donation Challenge between San Carlos North v. South to see which region can donate the most backyard produce. The winner is South San Carlos!
RESULTS:
San Carlos North donated 141.7 lbs
San Carlos South donated 252.4 lbs
As the prize, EGC will donate a new fruit tree to White Oak Elementary, Brittan Acres Elementary, Arroyo Upper Elementary, and Central Middle School!
Thank you to both regions for participating in this challenge! All produce was donated directly to Second Harvest of Silicon Valley and Samaritan House of San Mateo.
