Farmers’ Market July 2024 Update
At the latest San Carlos Farmers Market, Each Green Corner’s booth received tremendous engagement and donations under the leadership of local community volunteers Amy, Ella, and Caitlin. Amy enthusiastically explained the concept of food banks to dozens of curious children, who came for the prize wheel and left with a beautiful memory of feeding their community. Meanwhile, Ella & Caitlin oversaw produce donations, collecting, sorting, and weighing mountains of fruits and veggies generously gifted by local growers at the end of the market. When all was said and done, the booth had been visited by nearly five dozen friendly patrons, and received over 300lbs of fresh, nutritious donations for Samaritan House!
