What do you work on as a volunteer with Each Green Corner?
I oversee the senior gardens under a partnership with the Villages of San Mateo County.
How did you hear about Each Green Corner?
The partnership between the Villages of San Mateo County, which I am a volunteer.
Why did you choose to volunteer with Each Green Corner?
My role as the garden project manager for the Villages of San Mateo County.
What do you enjoy about volunteering with Each Green Corner?
I love gardening, but have limited space in my yard. I enjoy watching plants thrive, grow and produce. I enjoy comparing my garden with much larger gardens in warmer climates, which gives perspective.
How has volunteering for Each Green Corner impacted your life?
I am furthering my interests in gardening. I am experimenting with worm towers and in-situ composting on a very small scale in my yard.
What’s your favorite vegetable grown by Each Green Corner?
I have never seen a tomatillo let alone the plant. It was interesting to watch these plants grow.
I am so excited about the mission of Each Green Corner, especially with so many people who are lacking nutritious food.
